Ingredients
4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
2 cups chicken broth
1 can cream of chicken soup
1 cup frozen mixed vegetables
1 teaspoon onion powder
1 teaspoon garlic powder
Salt and pepper to taste
1 can refrigerated biscuit dough
Chopped parsley for garnish (optional)
Instructions
Place the chicken breasts at the bottom of the slow cooker, ensuring they are evenly spaced for even cooking.
In a bowl, mix together the chicken broth, cream of chicken soup, frozen vegetables, onion powder, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
Pour the mixture over the chicken in the slow cooker. Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 3-4 hours, until the chicken is fully cooked and tender.
About 30 minutes before serving, cut the biscuit dough into quarters and drop them on top of the chicken mixture.
Cover again and cook until the biscuits are fluffy and cooked through, about 30 minutes more.
Serve the chicken and dumplings hot, garnished with chopped parsley if desired.
Notes
Feel free to use homemade broth for a richer taste. Adjust seasoning to your preference before serving.
