A delightful twist on classic bars, combining rich dark chocolate flavors with crunchy candies and sprinkles. Perfect for gatherings or satisfying your sweet tooth.

Ingredients

  • 1-1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup dark cocoa powder
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 3/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup light brown sugar, lightly packed
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp chocolate extract
  • 1 cup white chocolate chips
  • 1 cup M&M’s Halloween Cookies & Screeem Dark and White Chocolate Candies
  • Festive sprinkles

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease an 8×8-inch baking pan and line it with parchment paper.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
  3. In a large bowl, beat the melted butter and light brown sugar together until creamy and smooth, about 3-4 minutes.
  4. Mix in the egg, vanilla extract, and chocolate extract until well combined.
  5. Gradually add the flour mixture to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  6. Fold in the white chocolate chips and M&M’s until evenly distributed.
  7. Spread the cookie dough evenly in the prepared baking pan and add a sprinkle of festive toppings on top if desired.
  8. Bake for 18-20 minutes or until the edges are set but the center remains soft.
  9. Remove from the oven and let the bars cool in the pan for about 15 minutes. Lift the bars out using the parchment paper and transfer them to a cooling rack to cool completely before slicing.

Notes

Don’t overbake the bars; they’ll continue to firm up as they cool. Allow butter and egg to come to room temperature for better texture.
