Creamy Cajun Pasta is a comforting and flavorful dish with tender chicken, zesty Cajun seasoning, and a rich heavy cream sauce.

Ingredients

  • 2 chicken breasts (can substitute with shrimp or tofu)
  • 8 ounces pasta (fettuccine or penne)
  • 1 tablespoon Cajun seasoning
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil (or any vegetable oil)
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Chopped parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. Prepare the chicken by seasoning with Cajun seasoning, salt, and pepper.
  3. Cook the seasoned chicken in a skillet with olive oil for about 7-8 minutes per side until golden and cooked through. Remove from skillet and let rest before slicing.
  4. Sauté the minced garlic in the same skillet for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  5. Make the sauce by stirring in the heavy cream and bringing it to a simmer. Add Parmesan cheese and stir until melted and smooth.
  6. Combine the cooked pasta and sliced chicken in the skillet, tossing to coat with the sauce.
  7. Serve hot, garnished with chopped parsley if desired.

Notes

For a vegetarian option, replace chicken with sautéed vegetables. Adjust the spice level by modifying the Cajun seasoning.
