A delicious blend of smoky bacon, savory chicken, and tangy barbecue sauce topped with melty cheddar cheese.

Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 8 slices of bacon
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup barbecue sauce (your favorite brand)
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • Olive oil (for greasing)
  • Fresh parsley (for garnish, optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Grease a baking dish with olive oil to prevent sticking.
  3. Combine garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, and salt in a small bowl. Rub this seasoning evenly over each chicken breast.
  4. Cook the bacon in a skillet over medium heat until crispy. Remove from the skillet and drain on paper towels.
  5. Wrap two slices of bacon around each seasoned chicken breast. Secure with toothpicks if necessary.
  6. Arrange the bacon-wrapped chicken in the prepared baking dish, ensuring they do not overlap.
  7. Pour half of the barbecue sauce over the chicken, coating each piece.
  8. Bake in the oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (75°C).
  9. Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese over the chicken and drizzle with the remaining barbecue sauce.
  10. Return to the oven and bake for an additional 5-7 minutes, until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  11. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.

Notes

For best results, use thick-cut bacon and avoid overcooking the chicken.
